Shared vision, Shared place

We envision 181 Huguenot Street as a commons, where community grows naturally from a shared vision in a shared place. By working side by side on the land, hosting gatherings, and creating programs together, we invite community to emerge through vibrant in-person relationships and mutual support.

Tree of Life Guild honors the web of relationships that forms the fabric of all life.

We recognize that humans are part of a larger living community, in which humans and nature—plants, animals, fungi, rivers, forests, and soils—are bound together.

The stronger these relationships are, the safer and more resilient we become.

Deepening Connections

We also recognize that many of these connections are fraying and in need of care and nurturing. Our work at 181 Huguenot Street is dedicated to repairing and strengthening these relationships by stewarding this land in ways that foster deepening connections between people and nature in practical, joyful, and inspiring ways.

A keystone of our vision

is supporting young people in building real relationships with the living world through nature education, outdoor learning, and afterschool programs. An everwidening circle of Arbor Vitae School of Traditional Herbalism alumni and supporters stands ready to join and strengthen this work.
